The museum is preserved as a time bubble, where visitors get the feeling of being taken back to the end of the 19th century.

It is occasionally produced on the old saws, which creates an authentic atmosphere. Learn about the foundations of the famous Norwegian wooden houses, and explore the country's perhaps most important export industry through the ages. You can wander around the museum on your own or pre-book guiding.

In the summer of 2020, a completely new visitor center opened with exhibitions, an activity park, a small museum shop and a café.
