We recommend that you travel off the coast and visit islands like Dønna, Lovund, Hestmannen, Træna or Rødøy. The peaks on these islands are easy accessible and gives spectacular views. NB: Be aware that some of the hikes are for experienced hikers - so be sure to gather enough information on beforehand !

Being one of Kystriksveiens most popular natural attractions, the seven sisters mountain range offer spectacular views. Marked trails lead to each peak and between them.
The Mount Dønnamannen (The Dønna man) is lying with its nose up at the island Dønna outside Sandnessjøen. The starting point(s) are easy to reach with ferry from Sandnessjøen to Dønna. The 3 different routes are regarded as challenging best suited experienced hikers.
You find Norways geographic midpoint in Ogndalen east of the city of Steinkjer. You arrive at the actual point after a 2-hour walk along a sleeper track. Good training shoes recommended.
